Free oncology prevention visits, the new ANT – SulPanaro clinic inaugurated in Modena

MODENA – Twenty years after the start of the first project, the ANT Foundation Delegation of Modena inaugurated on 18 April – in the Viale Verdi 60 headquarters – the new clinic dedicated to cancer prevention visits, medical consultations and psychological support: services that the Foundation has always provided free of charge to citizens and institutions
schools.

The structure, naturally built in compliance with regional health legislation to also allow disabled people to access it, was created thanks to the support of the Modena Foundation, BPER and the Castelnuovo Rangone and Montale Lions Club.

This important intervention will strengthen ANT’s existing services and will allow us to organize and promote oncology prevention visits every month, thus increasing concrete support for the Modena area, providing valid support to the public health system.

In fact, ANT has long been involved in cancer prevention: as of 31 December 2023, in Modena and its province, a total of 54,226 prevention visits to citizens were carried out by doctors with a regular collaboration contract.

On the subject of prevention, the first ANT project regarding the early diagnosis of melanoma was born in Modena in 2004 from an idea of ​​Dr. Giulia Giusti, dermatologist. This was followed by projects on thyroid, gynecological and breast cancers, with the aim of carrying out a service for the community that complements that offered by public health in full compliance with the principle of subsidiarity enshrined in the Constitution.

There are also many companies that have collaborated with ANT to offer prevention visits to their corporate community, especially with regards to the Melanoma Project; in fact, there is an increase in particularly sensitive entrepreneurs who invest resources in the health of their employees, in the awareness that virtuous behavior
represents an advantage from many points of view, first of all ethical and social.
