Railways: TUA Abruzzo, trains between Lanciano and San Vito return

There Lanciano – San Vito railway section managed by Tua has been reactivated to railway traffic.

The maintenance interventions and related tests all gave positive results.

The Esperia company, specialized in electric traction systems, already a contractor of RFI for the maintenance of the same technology on the Adriatica line, after having carried out all the necessary interventions for the restoration of electric traction has produced the required declaration of suitability of the contact line involved from the maintenance intervention.

The electrical traction voltage has been relaunched in the expected forms and with the interface towards RFI’s Electric Traction Operations Manager (DOTE) of Pescara.

Furthermore, the Tua railway company took steps to carry out a test run on the Lanciano – San Vito route via an ETR-S01 electric traction vehicle in the presence of technicians from the Esperia company and representatives of the Tua infrastructure manager.

The contact between the pantograph and the overhead line was found to be regular.
