Wednesday afternoon the State Police captured a 31-year-old Kosovar citizen in via Cimarosa in Florence recipient of a provision for the execution of concurrent sentences for which he will now have to serve more than 6 and a half years in prison.

The man was tracked down, around 3.30 pm, by the Falcons of the Flying Squad of the Florence Police Headquarters in San Jacopino area in your own car. Once stopped by the police, however, the man made a daring escape through the streets of the neighborhood.

According to what emerged, the 31-year-old was even joined by some family members who, in turn, would have tried to hinder the law enforcement officers, who in the end prevailed. Two policemen suffered minor bruises with a few days’ prognosis.

Once the situation was brought back to calm thanks to the intervention of one of the police cars on Via Zara, the man was reported for resisting and injuring a public official, as well as sanctioned for violations of the highway code. Immediately afterwards the 31-year-old was accompanied by policemen to the Florentine prison of Sollicciano to execute the concurrent sentences.
