The environmental engineer from Bari Antonella Lomoro is the new president of Amiu Puglia. She was appointed today, by decree of the mayor of Bari, Antonio Decaro, after the resignation formalized by Paolo Pate, who preferred to renounce the position because he was accused in a trial on charges of false corporate communications for events dating back to 2018 concerning his professional activity as an accountant.
The new president, until now, has been a member of the Board of Directors of the urban hygiene company, of which she has been a member for more than seven years.
“I thank the mayor Antonio Decaro for the trust placed in me, in a particularly delicate moment – declared the new president -. For me this is a great honor, which takes on an even deeper meaning because I am the first woman to hold this position. I also want to thank the outgoing president Paolo Pate for the great work done in this year and a half at the helm of Amiu Puglia. His resignation is exclusively the result of a very high sense of responsibility and respect for the institutions. I will continue the work we undertook together on the Board of Directors, on which I have sat since 2017 with pride and commitment. The months to come – Lomoro concluded – they will be full of new challenges that we will face with the usual spirit of service.”
In his place, Bari veterinarian Enzo Buono joins the Amiu board of directors. For him this is a return: he has already been a councilor from 2004 to 2011 and from 2016 to 2020.
