As in all Italian squares, strikes for the climate are once again taking place in Cuneo. Today, Friday 19 April, a Hundreds of young people from the Friday for Future movement marched in Corso Nice for climate justice towards the Resistance Park.
Event organized by the Ortica collective in collaboration with the “Non una di meno” association.
We read in the press release Fridays for Future Italy: “In a world of injustices of different kinds, peoples and people respond with different struggles. However, the atomization and division of these struggles is convenient for those who continue to earn through exploitation, colonization, extractivism and inequality. However, it is increasingly clear that at the basis of everything that afflicts the majority of the population and benefits powerful minorities there are the same roots: discrimination and social injustices. For this reason, Fridays for Future Italia returns to the streets on 19 and 20 April against interests that impede climate and social justice by exacerbating or generating instability and a piecemeal global conflict. This year the movement will take to the streets together with the Palestinian movements to also ask for an immediate and permanent ceasefire in Palestine.”
