A man turns the street into a landfill in Cerignola: reported and fined
Every citizen must act as a sentry and report any critical issues in order to always ensure civic sense prevails, thus contributing to keeping our community safe and orderly.“, declared theSecurity Councilor Teresa Cicolellacommenting on the episode that happened two days ago in Cerignola.

If everyone strongly felt the sense of belonging to a community, perhaps the problem of waste abandoned on the streets would be more easily contained in Cerignola too.

A few days ago an attentive resident of the Carducci area he reported to the Local police officers, the presence – right next to the primary school, the “Defizia” – of bulky waste, furniture, mattresses, children’s toys. The man attributed this reprehensible behavior to a resident of the area, a foreign citizen, legally resident in our city.

Our agents intervened and sanctioned the citizen with a fine of €300, as well as ordering the removal of all the exhibition and the restoration of the state of the places.
Furthermore, the foreign citizen was ordered to deliver the form for the correct disposal of waste to be carried out at the municipal collection center within 5 days to the local police headquarters.

Finally, the owner of the property was contacted and reported to the Guardia di Finanza and the Revenue Agency, since the citizen resided in the house without a regular rental contract. Thanks again to the attentive citizen for the report and to the local police for the timely intervention“, commented Cicolella.
