Unipd at the Padova Marathon 2024

L’University of Paduaincreasingly committed to promoting well-being and sport in the University and in the local area, participate again this year with enthusiasm and with a large representation at the Padua Marathon scheduled for Sunday April 21st.
This year too, numerous requests were received from the entire academic community to participate in one of the most anticipated running events of the year. This year the Padua Marathon is increasingly international, with over 51 nations present at the start with their own athletes, and the University also aligns itself with this internationality with international runners especially among students.
The community of the University of Padua participates this year with a representation of over 150 people including staff, students and studentsof which 100 engaged in the 10, 5 and 1 km Stracittadine and over 50 in competitive races (marathon 42.145 km and half marathon 21.097 km), identified by a new Unipd branded technical shirt.
It continues to be constant and significant the University’s commitment to promoting and enhancing sport and well-beingwhich is not only proven by the considerable participation in the Padova Marathon, but also in the other countless initiatives offered throughout the year to the academic community and citizens.
Meeting point for all Unipd runners at 9am in front of the steps of the Abbey of Santa Giustina for a group photo together with the rector Daniela Mapelli and the vice-rector for well-being and sport Antonio Paoli.
There Padua Marathon has now become a fixed and long-awaited annual event by the Unipd community and which encourages people to lead a healthy lifestyle based on sport and physical activity.
