Tenacity, consistency, determination. And a considerable amount of courage. These are the characteristics inherent in every self-respecting marathon runner (specifically, even triathlete): this is the case of Pasquale Ricchiutifor everyone “Paco”, versatile interpreter and constantly progressing in disciplines that involve impressive physical and athletic effort.

On April 7, the 37-year-old from Bisceglie signed up for the New FitCenter 2.0 achieved a significant result at the finish line Milan Marathon 2024, marathon with a circular race course, starting and finishing from Piazza del Duomo. In his second official experience on the fateful distance of 42.195 kilometers after Rome 2023, Ricchiuti improved his personal best by around two minutes, finishing in 2h55’37” (300th place overall), a time which represents the new best performance achieved by a runner from Bisceglie in the specialty.

“When tackling a marathon you must never take anything for granted and you must always grit your teeth at the end – underlines Ricchiuti –. Together with my friend and coach Beppe Scardigno we carried out good preparation and were not caught unprepared during the race which went smoothly until the end. Due to personal commitments, Beppe was unable to actively follow me in Milan, but this is a record that I am thrilled to share with him and with the entire FitCenter 2.0 family. Milan represented an important testing stage in view of the ambitious goal of debuting in September in the Ironman (the toughest triathlon competition, characterized by 4 kilometers of swimming, 180 kilometers of cycling and, indeed, the final fraction over the distance of the marathon)”.
