We’re here now, the weekend has arrived. The 33rd matchday of Serie A will begin on this Friday, a day that will end on Monday, precisely (and not only) with the Bologna. For the Rossoblù fans, therefore, there will still be a wait, but who knows if the show will be worth the wait: on Monday at 6.30 pm, at the Olimpico, it will be staged Rome-Bologna.
The team from the capital will arrive with great fanfare at Monday’s clash, after the clear 2-1 victory in the second leg of the quarter-finals against Milan, thanks to which they were guaranteed a European semi-final for the fourth consecutive year. Thanks to yesterday’s results, it is now mathematical that the fifth-placed team will also play in the Champions League next year: currently, Roma-Bologna is a clash which, therefore, is worth two Champions League places. Bologna, however, wants to remain in fourth place, as in the last month, and to keep their distance they need a victory.
Roma-Bologna: technique and tactics today at the “Galli”
This morning, around that time Casteldebolethe penultimate weekly training session took place in view of Roma-Bologna. Thiago Motta and his staff dedicated today’s training to total preparation for Monday’s match, after having analyzed the opponent even more yesterday: after the classic muscle warm-up, the team carried out a series of technical-tactical exercises on the pitch with the ball. Even today, Thiago was able to rely on almost the entire group: only tomorrow – in addition to finishing – remains for the final decisions.
The news from the infirmary and tomorrow’s appointments
Jens Odgaard can almost certainly abandon hopes of a quick recovery in view of Roma-Bologna: even today the Danish attacker carried out training on the pitch that was different from the rest of the group, most likely aimed at a gradual return to training next week.
