The first meeting relating to the “Memorandum of Understanding for Health and Safety in the workplace” took place yesterday at the headquarters of the Prefecture of Caserta. The Prefecture’s initiative received unanimous approval from the institutional bodies, law enforcement agencies and trade union and employer associations present at the table, who will contribute to defining new paradigms for monitoring and improving safety in a territory experiencing a real own emergency. “As CISAL we are keen to underline the importance of the initiative, it will be important to put aside any conflict and collaborate without hesitation between all the subjects involved by sharing information, in the common interest of preventing in an effective and concrete way. Only by deepening our knowledge of the phenomenon and focusing on improvement actions will we be able to make decisive steps forward compared to what we can do today” declared Eng. on the sidelines of the meeting. Mauro Naddei spoke on behalf of the Via Unità Italiana union. “It is expected” concluded the trade unionist “that the Protocol will be signed as early as next week, and that the Observatory envisaged therein will become operational immediately”.
