Twenty years after its first publication, from April 20th the album “Dispari” by Remo Anzovino, which has become a cult and has long been out of print, is available again in a new remastered version on CD and – for the first time – on vinyl.
The vinyl, published by Incipit Records /EGEA Music,it will be on sale exclusively in stores participating in Record Store Day 2024, the international day that celebrates independent music stores. A milestone of instrumental music, the album was entirely inspired by a series of famous silent films that Anzovino had set to music live when he was very young (among the many Metropolis, Nosferatu, The Cameraman, Nanook of the North).
Recorded, mixed and remastered by Stefano Amerio, one of the most appreciated sound engineers on the instrumental music scene, “Dispari” reveals a unique world and a rare talent for melody from the first track.
The album is fundamental for understanding the origins of the path of a composer who, like few others, creates images in the listener’s mind thanks to songs like I walk in the night (watch the video

When the album was released it reached position n.1 on Itunes Jazz Italia and at the same time was welcomed by critics and with unanimous and transversal enthusiasm.
The rediscovered image it was chosen by Simone Cristicchi as the main theme that opens and closes the documentary film on mental asylums On the other side of the gateattached to the album of the same name by Simone Cristicchi (Sony / BMG), released in conjunction with the victory at the Sanremo Festival in 2007.
One of the most original and eclectic composers and pianists of our time, protagonist of projects on the border between music and cinema and celebrated with the Nastro D’Argento 2019 Musica dell’Arte, Remo Anzovino has published 21 records including studio albums and soundtracks, collecting over 30 million streams in 180 countries around the world on the main digital platforms. Author of the famous “9 October 1963 (Suite for Vajont)” in parallel with his recording career he has developed an intense concert career in Italy and around the world. “Don’t Forget to Fly”, released in May 2023, is his latest studio album, best album of the year for SkyTg24, entered the most important world classical music playlists and for several weeks the best-selling instrumental music album in Italy.
