Livorno 19 April 2024 – “Recovery operation”: driving without license plates, 43-year-old reported for receiving stolen goods

The carabinieri of the Operational and Radiomobile Unit of the Livorno Company have released a 43-year-old woman already known to the police as she is seriously suspected of receiving stolen goods.

The military, during a territorial control service in the city centre, identified the woman on board a moped without license plates.

After promptly stopping it, the soldiers ascertained that the moped was the subject of theft perpetrated in the city a few days ago and reported at the police station in Viale Fabbricotti.

The moped was recovered and returned to its rightful owner while the 43-year-old was reported at liberty to the Labronica AG for the crime of receiving stolen goods. Investigations are underway to ascertain how the woman came into possession of the vehicle.
