Ravenna, 19 April 2024 – The complete program of the second edition of the project presentedFor a Borgo San Rocco‘, an exhibition that is enriched with a series of new features and events that reveal the different facets and peculiarities of the historic village.
Scheduled cultural and social events which aim to revitalize and enhance this important area of the city. Built around an ancient parish and enriched by historic taverns, Borgo San Rocco is a crossroads of traditions and stories that are intertwined with the urban fabric of Ravenna. The initiative, promoted in collaboration with the municipal administration, the Il Borgo association and the inhabitants and traders of the neighbourhood, aims to involve businesses, institutions and the third sector in the regeneration of this precious area of historical interest.
We start already this afternoon, Friday 19 April, with ‘Walking around the village‘, a journey to discover the common goods, guided by local experts and enriched by narratives that tell the history and traditions of the place. May 4th and 5th the ‘Festamercato di Via de’ Tomai’ will then return, which integrates the market with an itinerant route in the surrounding streets, offering a unique experience that celebrates the memory and identity of Borgo San Rocco. The September 28th it will be the turn of ‘Cibovagando Diportainporta’, which will propose a thematic gastronomic tour that involves the actors of the Borgo and offers an opportunity to discover local delicacies.
‘A Movie Village!’ instead it promotes one collection of period photos and interviews, as well as screenings of films about the Ravenna villages. Finally, the Festamercato of the Mugnai/il Cervo area will result in a day of celebration with the two clubs and the chefs of CheftoChef emiliaromagnacuochi as protagonists, involving the inhabitants of the neighborhood. The collaboration between the RipensandoRavenna Committee, the Municipal Administration and the shopkeepers and artisans of Borgo San Rocco and the Il Borgo association confirms itself as fundamental for the realization of these initiatives, which promote the knowledge and valorisation of Borgo San Rocco.
The invitation is open to all citizenshistory buffs, lovers of good food and local culture, to join this experience which celebrates the identity and heritage of Borgo San Rocco in Ravenna.
