Giuseppe Salvoat the end of joint family training on Thursday afternoon, talks about how he had to overcome the regret after the defeat in last Sunday’s derby at “Massimino”: “This week has certainly been tough to deal with and I, as a native of Messina, have perhaps suffered more than my teammates. But now we must complete our main task by achieving salvation and thus crowning an overall positive season, despite its ups and downs, as is normal. We hope to do well on Sunday and we don’t think about anything else.”
Salvo then passes to his next opponent: “Potenza is an excellent team, made up of excellent players, and, given the qualities they have, they didn’t deserve that position in the standings. This does not mean that we will do our best to bring home the result even if they are not in a good moment, but they want to save themselves; so it will be a tough match.”
The young defender from Messina draws up an initial assessment of his season from a personal point of view: “Compared to last year, I think it’s very positive, even if, keeping my feet on the ground, I could have done better and I have to work to improve even more.”
Finally, a hint about the climate the team is experiencing at this end of the season: “Serenity helped us get out of a bad moment, scoring many points with an important positive streak. We are a great group and work well together.”
