TREVISO – After opening the state of agitation of the workers belonging to the operating units of the surgery departments 1 and 2, maxillofacial ENT, plastic and ophthalmology surgery, and of all the operating rooms and intensive care units of the Ca’ Foncello Hospital in Treviso proclaimed by FP Cgil Treviso, Cils FP Belluno Treviso, Uil Fpl Treviso, Fials and Nursing Up and following the meeting held in the Prefecture of Treviso on 8 Aprilduring yesterday afternoon, Thursday 18 April, a second discussion was held in the prefectural headquarters of the capital between the trade union organizations and the leaders of Ulss2 Marca Trevigiana regarding the structural shortage of personnel, the opening of new services without adequate staff coveragethe transfer of activities to the Cittadella della Salute with insufficient logistical support, the absence of adequate training courses.
“On these points – explain the trade union organizations – the unions’ request to establish a permanent table to monitor the timetable presented at the opening of the meeting by Ulss 2 regarding the transfer of the departments, including machinery, from the old blocks to the Citadel of the Health expiring on May 30th and on which the workers’ representatives have some doubts, also regarding the prescriptions received after the testing of the structure; the hospital and health administration said it was willing to activate the training, in the field and by macro area, of nurses and health workers assigned to operating rooms in episodes of scheduled closure of an operating room, this activity would also indirectly lead to a temporary lightening of the workload in the post-operative hospitalization departments hoped for by the Social Partners; by 1 June, according to the Ulss, they should be logistics and internal transport services were strengthened thanks to the integration of existing agreements with social cooperatives who already operate within the Treviso hospital. Ulss 2 also sets out the intention to proceed upon hiring by drawing on the open rankings of 4 administrators to support department staff; the heated and intense discussion continues on the number of staff and the need for hiring, as well as, precisely in light of these shortcomings, on the opportunity to open the post-operative recovery room service”.
