From 25 April to 26 May a rich calendar between Lake Burano, the Orbetello lagoon, Lake Gherardesca and the Bottaccio WWF Oasis.

From 25 April to 26 May the days of the WWF Oases return, renewed and even richer. These Oases are protected natural areas which preserve important naturalistic values ​​and allow people to discover the beauty and importance of nature. The first was that of Lake Burano, created in 1967 to protect an important natural area of ​​the Tyrrhenian coast, a coastal brackish lagoon at the southern end of the Grosseto Maremma, in the municipality of Capalbio.

In Tuscany there is a real calendar of events between Lake Burano and the Orbetello lagoon. It begins Sunday 28 April with a bike excursionit closes Sunday 26 May with a guided tour of the Levante Idrovora in collaboration with the FAI (Italian Environment Fund), passing through the inauguration of the show The dilemma of altruism (Saturday 4 May at the “Peccei” Environmental Education Center, Giannella – Orbetello) and that of the tern path on Sunday 12. On Saturday 4 and 18 May we move to the nearby Oasis of Bosco Rocconi (Gr) for a day dedicated to learning about orchids (the 4) and to render homage to the peregrine falconone of the fastest animals on the planet (the 18th).

At the Oasi Orti Bottagone on Saturday 11 May day dedicated to migratory birds with spaces for photographers, birdwatchers and children, while on Sunday 25th many events on the occasion of European Parks Day: we will discover what pollen traps are associated with the study of plant biodiversity. In the province of Lucca on Saturday 18th May a splendid walk between the Gherardesca lake and the Bottaccio WWF Oasiswith a stop dedicated to naturalistic drawing.

Currently the system of WWF Oasis in Italy it extends for approximately 27,000 hectares and is characterized by approximately 100 Oases, appreciated annually by approximately 350,000 visitors, who employ over 150 people, many of whom are young people and women, with positive effects also on the communities of the neighboring territories. Key activities are also educational and wildlife recovery.
