How to communicate digital services in healthcare? What skills are needed for increasingly digital healthcare? How can innovation make the healthcare proposal more usable and accessible to citizens?
They are trying to answer these questions during the General states of health Siena 2024the second appointment in the historic room of the Intronati municipal library is dedicated precisely to the theme of digitalisation: “The future of digital healthcare”, the title of the initiative.
Four appointments dedicated to health
The General States of Health of Siena take place over four days, the inaugural event was held at the end of March, on 6 April the first appointment was dedicated to “The health management of major events” for the sharing of good practices, testimonies and know-how of the emergency-urgency health management of major events at a local, national and international level. Today, April 19th, the theme of digital health precedes the May 10th event dedicated to “Animal Therapy“, an opportunity to share good practices and testimonies on animal-assisted intervention projects and explore regional legislation. The last appointment, scheduled for May 24th, is reserved for sharing projects, good practices and testimonies on the organization of the territorial healthcare, through hospital and local continuity. and will focus on local healthcare.
Digital and healthcare: where are we at?
Projects, perspectives and practical cases are at the center of the initiative which aims to give a broad and innovative perspective on the digitalisation of healthcare services. A more technological and digital healthcare sector can improve the patient care and assistance process, reducing long waits, hospitalizations and optimizing overall costs. National and international excellences discussed these topics, including the Universitat Politécnica de València with the intervention “Healthcare professionals’ skills and competences to boost digital health transformation”, and spoke about themselves through a series of talks and a panel round moderated by Nicolò Pestelli, senior healthcare consultant and former general director of Estar and ASL7 Siena.
Among the projects to focus on, the desire that has emerged to optimize the dialogue between IT skills and healthcare skills for more usable healthcare. The objective is to create operational protocols that facilitate and promote a new methodology of approach and collaboration.
