23 year old dies after 18 days in a coma. Sfera Ebbasta had mobilized for him

Simone Bonato, the 23-year-old from Galliera Veneta (Padua) who fell from the roof of a shed on Easter Monday, where he had climbed to retrieve a ball, did not make it. The young man had been hospitalized for more than two weeks in the intensive care unit of the Padua hospital due to the serious injuries he had suffered following the accident which occurred on 1 April in San Martino di Lupari (Padua). A tragedy that occurred during a day of celebration.

The four meter flight

The 23-year-old was playing with a group of friends when, at a certain point, the ball ended up on the roof of a shoe factory shed in via Luciani. However, when Bonato went up to retrieve it, according to an initial reconstruction, it seems that the roof caved in, sending the boy flying four meters. It was friends who gave the alarm to the emergency numbers as they witnessed the dramatic scene in astonishment. Transported from Suem to Padua, his condition immediately appeared serious due to the head trauma he had suffered in the fall and for which he had immediately undergone emergency surgery. Since that fateful day, however, he had never woken up again. In a coma for 18 days, Simone died this morning, Thursday 18 April, in the intensive care unit of the city of Santo.

The last farewell of friends

The family, who until the end had hoped for the 23-year-old’s recovery, arranged for organ donation. Great condolences also on the part of Bonato’s friends, who worked as a craftsman in a local company and loved spending his free time with his lifelong friends with whom he was very close. During his hospitalization his company had never abandoned him. On Thursday 17 April, after the news of the worsening of his condition, about ten young people showed up at the hospital in Padua with the desire to say a final farewell to their dear friend and to gather around the family. In recent days, the well-known singer Sfera Ebbasta, again at the request of friends, he had sent a video message addressed to Simone with the hope of recovering soon.
