An original combination of fitness, art and social commitment that took shape at the John Reed Fitness gym in Venezia Mestre, which went from a temple of fitness to an unusual location of a art show. It’s about Picasso Celebration, the result of the collaboration between the John Reed Fitness brand, the Folligeniali Museum and the Bergognone Art School, which has always been involved in the social project dedicated to artistic therapy for fragile children. The inauguration was attended by the deputy mayor of Venice, Andrea Tomaello, welcomed by the host Samuele Frosio, co-CEO of RSG Group Italia and by the godmother of the event Clelia Patella, a well-known cultural content creator.

“We are proud to celebrate in John Reed Fitness the Spanish genius of Venice with the ‘Picasso Celebration’ exhibition. This event combines creativity and social commitment, with the Bergognone Art School promoting artistic therapy for fragile people. We invite everyone to discover Picasso’s global influence and support this wonderful initiative by visiting the exhibition, which is a unique opportunity to explore the Master’s creative universe.”, commented Samuele Frosio. He adds Clelia Patella: “Creativity is a universal language that unites generations, manifesting itself in art. The Bergognone School of Art, paying homage to Picasso’s artistic revolution, highlights how art is a personal expression and a tool for social inclusion. The Folligenial artists , by reinterpreting Picasso’s works, they have built a bridge between past and present. This connects generations, allowing them to explore and transmit unique visions, encouraging a continuous dialogue between past, present and future.”.

The reproductions on display are the result of the eclectic talent of the members of Folligeniali, a heterogeneous group of artists, who interpreted the works by Picasso with originality and mastery. These works, which range from lithographs to ceramics, offer a complete overview of Picasso’s artistic evolution, documenting his passions, women, muses and the different phases of his career. There Bergognone School of Artlocated in Lodi, was founded in 1975 by Angelo Frosio, art master, friend of Peggy Guggenheim, the legendary American art collector in love with Venice and founder of the homonymous museum on the Grand Canal, which defined it in 1975 , “the greatest living artist”.

Over the years, the school transformed into a Social Cooperative (1986), obtaining the name of ONLUS in 1998 and registering in the Regional Register of Social Cooperatives in 2002. It is a unique experimental project, being the first social cooperative in world to use art as a tool for recovery and valorisation for people in difficulty. The school welcomes around fifty people with disabilities every day, offering artistic expression activities, restoration of antique furniture, horticulture, gardening, and other technological laboratories. In May 2010, Bergognone inaugurated the Folligeniali Museum, where works by students of the Bergognone School of Art and famous contemporary artists are exhibited.

There show it will be open to visitors every Saturday for free, starting from April 20th, by booking here.
