PISA – On the eve of the challenge between Bari and Pisa and before leaving for Puglia here are the statements from the Nerazzurri coach Alberto Aquilani.

THE TEAM IS ALIVE. “The boys have always had a correct attitude throughout the season and are aware of having fallen into some negative circumstances, which is why I expect a great performance against Bari precisely because we have a great opportunity to reach the play-offs and play our chances for promotion.”
THE KEY TO THE MATCH. “Playing a great match means starting well and finishing equally well, and it is logical that we must avoid the approaches of Como and Brescia, also due to the environmental conditions, it being understood that it will be a decisive match for both and in the end whoever has the most determination will win and physical strength.”
ON THE BARI RACE. “A difficult match awaits us in a particular environment which will require maximum attention, with the entire squad available except Barberis and Torregrossa, who did not recover due to a muscle problem”.
TRAINING. “From a training point of view, the vote remains between the two goalkeepers, with Nicolas who played a great match on Saturday and Loria who is no exception, just as the return of the three suspended players will also lead to training choices in the other departments as well as the possibility of opting between deploying a three or four defense”.
DIFFICULTY. “The fact that Bari finds itself in this ranking situation demonstrates the difficulties of the Cadet Tournament, where nothing is taken for granted as Spal and Benevento also demonstrated last season.”
JUDGMENT SUSPENDED. “I am not yet able to express an opinion on my experience as a first season coach of the first team, as I have always said, the cadet tournament is a marathon of 38 games where you can never afford to lose concentration, just as there is no ‘It’s a logical explanation as to why in the first round we scored and conceded fewer goals than vice versa in the return match.’
THE MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENTS. “The matches that disappointed me the most from the point of view of the result are the home defeats against Lecco and Spezia, where in my opinion we played some good matches, unlike perhaps the first leg against Spezia in which, beyond the draw, the team hadn’t played well.”
ABOUT DE DANIELE ROSSI. “Daniele De Rossi is a boy of particular intelligence and he catapulted himself into a difficult situation, which he was able to manage very well, managing to create a great synergy with the fans, something that I hope I too have managed to do with our fans who are fantastic and whose contribution is fundamental for us, even if as always it is the results that influence the mood of the fans.”
