Foggia railway stations, all investments to increase transport volumes

The TEN-T network has identified Foggia as a transport hub and urban hub at the crossroads of 2 multimodal corridors (Scandinavian-Mediterranean and Baltic-Sdriatic).

This beam would be useful both for refueling, and above all for timely intervention on the train in the event of a breakdown, with prompt intervention on construction sites for a “mobile” maintenance service organized through the use of vans or for activities such as computerized brake test (capable of certifying the correct functioning of the locomotive braking systems between one maintenance cycle and another) and the heavy mobile workshop capable of carrying out lifting and changing rooms also at the railway yards in order to speed up the resolution and reduce management times and unavailability of the vehicle.

In the conclusions, Secretary Cataneo highlights the economic advantages of the cities connected by TAV with High Speed ​​station equal to the increase of +7% in GDP and +40% New Movements of which 21% subtracted from the road and 16% from the traditional railway.

“The news is that the total sum which in 2017 was 20 million with the current organization of Open Cohesion is worth 90 million euros. For the historic station we foresee investments to receive interregional trains”.
