ROVIGO – The last concert of the 2024 Season of the F. Venezze Musical Association is entrusted to a talented and versatile musician, who is literally at home in the Association. It’s about Gerardo Felisatti, who is not only a Councilor of the prestigious Rovigo musical institution, but since 2022 is also the Artistic Director of Rovigo Cello City, the cello festival, founded by Luigi Puxeddu, who for the past 11 years has made Rovigo a recognized capital of cello performances at an international level. The concert will be held Saturday 20 April at the Marco Tamburini Auditorium in Rovigo, at 9.00 pm.
Gerardo Felisatti at the “F. Venezze” of Rovigo obtained a diploma in Piano with top marks and honors, and in Vocal Chamber Music with top marks, praise and honorable mention, while, and always with top marks and cum laude, he graduated both in Musicology at the “Ca’ Foscari” University of Venice and as Substitute Maestro and Korrepetitor at the “S. Cecilia” in Rome, as well as having obtained the diploma in Orchestra Conducting with top marks at the “A. Pedrollo” of Vicenza.
This curriculum of undoubted value has allowed him to successfully dedicate himself to the activity of Maestro collaborator at the main Opera Theaters in the Veneto, as well as having performed international productions at the Houston Grand Opera in Texas (USA), the Manoel Theater in Malta (MPO), and the International Festival Lirique en Mer (France). From 2020 to 2022 you taught at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam (Holland) in the department of Classical Voice and Conducting, while you are currently a piano accompanist at the Conservatory of Trapani. As a conductor he directed the Filarmonia Veneta Regional Orchestra, the Teatro Olimpico Orchestra of Vicenza, the City of Ferrara Orchestra, the Padua and Veneto Orchestra, the Verdi Orchestra of Milan. To this multifaceted activity, he combines that of a composer, which has so far resulted in the recording of 4 albums (Con le mie mani – Rosso vivo, con Fuoco – Acquamadre – The Way it Stands). His music has been chosen as the soundtrack for several important brands such as Alitalia and for daily columns on Repubblica.it; his recordings were awarded record of the month (Sound, Audiophile Sound) and entered the Apple iTunes top 10 in the Netherlands. Next Saturday’s concert is precisely the complete presentation of his fourth CD, and will end with a pleasant reception, offered by Caretta Vini, with which the Board of Directors wants to celebrate the beautiful concert season that has just ended together with its members, saying goodbye at the end of August, with the eleventh edition of Rovigo Cello City.
