The seals remain on part of the Aprilia quarry (about 6,000 square metres) in via Riserva Nuova owned by Stradaioli Srl.
Yesterday the judge for preliminary investigations of the Court of Latina Laura Morselli expressed her opinion on the case, validating the preventive seizure carried out in recent weeks by the Carabinieri of the Nipaaf of Latina together with the Arpa Lazio of Latina which had ascertained an illicit management of waste carried out on a non-waterproofed area with approximately 20,000 cubic meters of special waste not subjected to treatment.

The application of the measure came at the end of an inspection by Nipaaf on an area of 6 thousand square meters subject to environmental remediation, i.e. an exhausted quarry where work for the environmental and morphological restoration of the places had been going on for some time, having been completed in mining activity. The hypothesis of the Carabinieri of the Forestry group who carried out the checks in the Aprilia quarry is that this “filling” would have been carried out without treatment of the inert waste but only by depositing the materials in the holes and then covering them.
