Thus the author and director of the brilliant comedy in two acts “Yes, Dad” which was staged last Sunday in Ragusa in a Leader theater which had been sold out for several days before the performance took place.
Carlo Nobile states that everything turned out for the best, that the performance demonstrated how, once again, the cast of the theater company “I survivors”, although amateur, feels strongly about trying their hand at a performance which, although revised and correct, brings to the stage all the Neapolitan feeling of the work from which it is freely inspired, that “Forty… but it doesn’t show them” which made the fortunes of Eduardo and Titina De Filippo, two giants of Italian and world comedy.
“Which we – continues Nobile – don’t even dare approach, which we can’t even compare ourselves to for a moment. Yet, the spirit of experimenting with a performance on stage full of transport and the desire to give oneself to the public is the same.
I thank Cettina Cataudella and the rest of the cast made up of Pippo Antoci, Gianni Canzonieri, Graziella Frasca, Giorgio Gurrieri, Angelo Iacono, Tina Licitra, Angela Paolino and Domenico Puccia.
I thank them because they wanted to share these special moments together which make us admit how beautiful it is to do theater for others.
