The third weekend of April will be characterized by fairly cool days but despite the drop in temperatures Bari is ready to warm up with a series of events designed for everyone: from sporting events in the city to neighborhood markets, from Pink Floyd’s music to shows, without forgetting the numerous excursions, guided tours and the first event dedicated to the Saint Nicholas Festival.

Bari will welcome the 2024 edition of the “Deejay Ten”, one of the most famous non-competitive races in Italy, born in 2005 in Milan from an idea by Linus and which during its 19 editions involved hundreds of thousands of people. An event open to everyone, people of all ages and athletic abilities, who will be able to participate by following two different routes, 10 and 5 km.
The Piazza Balenzano Gardens will be the meeting place for an exciting day of sharing and sustainability thanks to the initiative promoted by the neighborhood APS Madonnella Republic Barter and Exchange: Children’s Toy Market. A unique opportunity to promote the culture of reuse and sharing. Everyone will be able to bring a cloth to display their used games and exchange them with others, discovering the value of solidarity and sustainability.
Pink Floyd Immersion live at the AncheCinema Theater in Bari to conclude the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of THE DARK SIDE OF THE MOON (1973/2023), the masterpiece of the legendary English band. Music, projections on a circular screen, the legendary inflatable pig and much more.
At the Bari Planetarium, astronomy is also told through music in the event “Astronomy Domine – Pink Floyd’s Astronomy”. Pink Floyd’s music contains numerous astronomical ideas that involve the listener in real space journeys.
Also at the Planetarium, two appointments for the little ones with the scientific laboratory for children “Bricks in Space” and the astronomy show “Solar System Coast to Coast” to learn about all the planets of the Solar System from Mercury to the frozen dwarf planets.
The Feast of Saint Nicholas begins on Saturday 20 April 2024 from 5pm at the Basilica of San Nicola: the “religious events” officially open with the “Corteo-Procession” of the wooden remains of the Cassetta della Traslazione through the streets of the Old City .
