Brindisi: Yellow and black of Puglia. Second edition of the Literary Festival

There New Verdi Theater Foundationwith the support of Municipality of Brindisiorganizes for the year 2024 the second edition of the Literary festival “Yellow and Black of Puglia”. The initiative qualifies as an important showcase for noir genre, thriller And mysteryoffering authors a prominent stage to showcase their works centered on intricate mysteries and related investigations.

The official presentation of the second edition will be held Saturday 27 April at 10.30 am in the Sala della Colonna of Palazzo Granafei-Nervegna. The meeting, moderated by Queen Cestawill see the participation of the mayor of Brindisi Giuseppe Marchionna; of the writer Barbara Perna in her capacity as artistic director of the Festival, as well as president of the quality jury of the competition; of the writer Gabriella Genisicreator of the character of Lolita Lobosco which was a great success with the public on TV, and with the Tuscan writer Marco De Franchi.

The conference is an opportunity to further illustrate the details of the literary competition, which this year is enriched with new dynamics, in which publishing houses play a central role by proposing the names of the authors who will compete for the title of winner of the prize “Yellow and Black of Puglia 2024” for the published section. This recognition will be awarded during the final scheduled for the last Saturday of November 2024. The first edition, reserved for unpublished works, saw an extraordinary participation of debut authors and was won by Ilaria Ferramosca with his novel “In Magritte’s past”, which will be published by Giunti Editore next autumn.

After the morning press conference, in the evening – starting from 6pm – Queen Cesta will dialogue with the authors Marco De Franchi for the novel”The master of dreams”; Barbara Perna For “Annabella Abundant, the past is a curious creature”; Gabriella Genisi For “The mystery of Castelforte”. The meeting will allow the public to interact with the authors by exploring their motivations, narrative techniques and themes that permeate their latest works. After the question and answer session, participants will be invited to Nervegna café for a moment of conviviality and exchange. Thanks to the support of Pro Loco of Brindisi, it will be possible to purchase the works presented, obtain personalized dedications from the authors and enjoy an aperitif in their company. This part of the initiative is intended to strengthen the bond between readers and writers, as well as offer a unique networking opportunity in an environment of sharing and participation.
