Everything according to script. The Bitonto C5 Femminile has entered the scene forcefully, like a singer in front of his audience or an actress waiting for endless flashes on the red carpet. In fact, in the debut match of the Italian Cup, the lionesses, led by an extraterrestrial Renatinha, beat the VIP by eight goals to three and earned the semi-final against Montesilvano from Abruzzo, victorious in the afternoon by three to one against Molfetta. A match without history against the Venetian team which was completed thanks to Renatinha’s hat-trick, Luciléia’s brace and goals from Diana Santos, Tampa and Pernazza. Now on to the semi-final dreaming of the final on Sunday. THE MATCH Mister Gianluca Marzuoli also chooses to start in the cup with the tried and tested five composed of Jozi, Diana Santos, Grieco, Renatinha and Luciléia. After thirty seconds Bitonto tries to come out of the blocks with Diana Santos’ right-footed shot from the edge which goes just wide. However, the match broke the deadlock in the third when Renatihna pushed Diana’s assist from a corner into the net and Bitonto made it 1-0 in front of goal. The VIP is unable to find a way to equalize and in the 12th minute Bitonto is ruthless to find the second with Diana Santos who receives from Tampa at the last minute on the bottom line and in a slide makes it two nil for and neroverdi. In the 16th minute Bitonto scores the hat trick and does so in great style with Luciléia receiving a long pass from Jozi, controlling the ball with her chest and passing the goalkeeper with a delicious lob for Bitonto’s three-nil. When the game resumed, however, the VIPs were dangerous with Troiano who kicked hard into the area but hit the crossbar. Bitonto holds well and in the 19th minute the poker drops with Tampa taking aim from a tight angle and with his right foot he sends the ball first to the post and then into the net for the four-nil, black and green. Thirty-five seconds from the end, however, Bitonto loses the ball at three quarters and allows Fernandez to appear first and then beat Jozi one-on-one to make it four-one at half-time. In the second half Bitonto started as well as they could and after nineteen seconds Renatinha found a top goal with his right foot, sending the ball under the crossbar from the edge to make it five to one for the Neroverde. The Italian-Brazilian is in a state of grace and in the third, at the end of a spectacular move, she turns in a flash and with her left foot puts it behind the goalkeeper for five to one for the lionesses. The VIP takes advantage of all their chances with the power play from the fifth, but at the first turnover Pernazza is killer and from long range makes it seven to one for Bitonto. At 10′ the eighth goal also arrives with Luciléia who swerves from the edge and comes back on the left and beats the goalkeeper without fail for the Neroverde’s eight to one. In the 19th minute the VIP closed the gap with Vanessa who scored the second Venetian goal directly from a free kick in the area: 8-2. With a few seconds left the VIP brings their scores to three and does so with a goal from Valenzano who, from a tight angle, guesses the right angle to beat Jozi and make it 8-3. At the sound of the final siren it’s a celebration for Bitonto as they overcome the VIP obstacle and prepare for the fiery semi-final against GTM Montesilvano.
