“Our excellences come together at the fair”

The Modena Trade Fair, now in its 85th edition, is starting, from vintage motoring to consumer electronics, from Wednesday 24th to Sunday 28th April in the exhibition center in Viale Virgilio. Good food and engines testify to the confirmation of the strong artisanal, entrepreneurial, artistic and cultural bond with our city. The exhibitions will offer visitors the excellence of our territory in food and wine, motoring, sports, electronics, gardening, clothing and accessories, design objects, collectibles, figurines and vintage proposals for green reuse. Leisure enthusiasts will thus be able to experiment with new games in the “Play on tour”, a traveling version of the most popular gaming festival at an international level. While gourmets will be able to taste typical local products, such as balsamic vinegar and local wines. “The Modena fair continues today to be one of the few in Italy so long-lived that it still allows it to be positive, important and of great relevance. Modena Fiera has marked history”, states Marco Momoli, Managing Director of ModenaFiere. Among the collateral activities there is “Radio Stella Village”, with live shows, led by Andrea Barbi from Modena, among the guests the singer-songwriter Andrea Mingardi, Alberto Bertoli, Marco Ligabue and Mirko Casadei. “An event made by the people of Modena for the people of Modena! It is a demonstration of the ability of Modena’s entrepreneurship to always be at the forefront with renewed interlocutors”, declares Ludovica Carla Ferrari, Councilor of the Municipality of Modena, Tourism and promotion of the city.

On the closing day of the fair, Francesco Battaglia and Angelo Giovannini will remember the most loved Modenese innkeeper of all time by presenting the book “The recipes of Bruna. Ermes: a story of love and trattoria”, and the docu-film “Ciao Gabian” , by Fabio Fasulo and Vincenzo Malara. “There are five days with free entry. We have included consumer electronics and vintage motoring. For those who want a modern and original home, they can go to the area set up by the Art Design association, which currently has seventeen local companies “, highlights Giuliana Odone, Project Manager of Fiera Campionaria.

There is a space dedicated to reading available to the little ones, the “Wonder Factory” where they can have fun coloring postcards, making bookmarks, reusing recycled waste, including the construction of fabric scarecrows and puppets that will come to life thanks to their ingenuity and the creativity of the puppeteer Luciano Pignatti. “We are Venetian but we are becoming Modenese. We must always have a futuristic outlook without ever forgetting the past. One objective is to lower the average age to bring the new generations closer”, says Francesco Milaneschi, CEO of Multimedia Tre.

Among the testimonies are Matteo Panini, a well-known collector of Maserati cars, Jean Marc Borel, a former Bugatti manager who will be joined by Afro Gibellini, a panel beater who has given shape to some of the most iconic sports cars on the market. “Among the new features of ‘Modena Motor Gallery-the passion’, an unprecedented exhibition of rare historic cars, rallies, live testimonies from motorsport enthusiasts and an exhibition of paintings by the artist Alessandro Rasponi”, explains Mauro Battaglia, Vision Up Consulting, curator Modena Motor Gallery – passion. The event is sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce, the Municipality and Province of Modena, and the Emilia-Romagna Region Coni.
