“The fifth edition of the Sustainability Report in Faenza”

Caviro pulls the strings of its participation in the 56th edition of Vinitaly with a double stand, one with Tavernello, Vigneti Romio, and Leonardo da Vinci – and one dedicated to Cesari, in the Veneto region pavilion. Giampaolo Bassetti General Manager of the Caviro Group, declares: “Presence at fairs like Vinitaly is an opportunity to strengthen relationships with customers in a market in turmoil and sensitive to new trends, such as the always discussed “no alcohol” and “low alcohol”. It is also the opportunity to present ourselves, this year more than ever, as a single and cohesive Group, with different approaches and expertise but a common reasoning, supported by a portfolio that ranges from daily to premium. Protagonists among the innovations presented at the fair are the restyling of labels together with new strategies and reorganization of the collections but above all the strong Group synergy that we are aiming for today”.

A strategy that starts from the launch of the new Group website which is the subject of visual restyling for a dynamic and innovative narrative that finds its maximum expression in the supply chain, from the vineyard to the table, and which is based on sustainability, represented by Caviro Extra. The subsidiary, in addition to transforming all of the 600 thousand tons of supply chain waste – pomace, exhausted lees, stalks, etc. – into noble products, is a driver of innovation thanks to investments in circular development projects, most of which in the ESG field. The balance sheet of the 56th edition of Vinitaly was overall positive, with several presences of large international clients from the United States, Asia, and Europe. Market interests remain inclined towards types of wine and drinks with low alcohol content and easy to drink, with a consequent general decline in the consumption of red wines.

The next appointment is April 23rd for the presentation of the fifth edition of Sustainability Report with focus on the calculation of Co2 emissions – Scope 1, 2, 3 – of the entire Group (Faenza, Forlì, Savignano sul Panaro and Fumane). The goals achieved by the Group in 2023 and the further commitment to meeting the SDGs objectives of the UN Agenda 2030 will be announced on that date. The event will be held at the Mic – International Ceramics Museum of Faenza which also hosts the exhibition “Gio Ponti. 1922-1967. Over 200 works by the inventor of Made in Italy”, dedicated to the figure of architect, designer and intellectual, who was a reference for the creation of an Italian “style” of decorative arts.
