Baker Hughes opens the new Apuane Learning Center in Massa

After Florence, Baker Hughes’ training also takes root in Massa: the new Apuane Learning Center covers an area of ​​over 800 m2 and can accommodate up to 200 people: it is equipped with six multifunctional training rooms, and other smaller spaces . Apuane Learning Center will host some projects in collaboration with the Universities of Florence, Pisa and Genoa, as well as part of the new Neomech23 path recently launched with Its Prime.

Baker Hughes invests in Massa

The work is part of an overall investment of approximately 120 million euros carried out by Baker Hughes – Nuovo Pignone over the last five years in its factories in Massa and Avenza, where 2,600 people, including direct and indirect employees, work for the company. Baker Hughes’ new investments further strengthen the company’s presence in the Apuan territory: last June, in fact, two new production lines were inaugurated at the Massa site, and the expansion of the Avenza site is still underway which Once completed, it will expand from 19 module construction areas to 23 by the end of 2024, with a further expansion to 27 already planned.

Apuane Learning Center was inaugurated today, 18 April, inside the Massa plant in the presence of the company’s management and regional and local institutions: among them Alessandra Nardini, Councilor for Training of the Tuscany Region; Francesco Persiani, mayor of Massa; Serena Arrighi, mayor of Carrara; Umberto Paoletti, deputy director of Confindustria Toscana Centro e Costa. “It is a virtuous project that is good for the whole territory – said Arrighi – because it helps to develop synergies between public and private and gives space and tools to grow and train many young people and many professionals”.
