Sparadoxical situation in Manfredonia in view of the municipal elections in June. Forza Italia, unless there are big surprises, will not support either Vincenzo Di Staso neither Ugo Galli. The first has within it the forces linked to the former mayor Gianni Roticethe second has in its coalition some defectors from the blue party, starting with Giuseppe Basta.
So what to do? The Forza Italia supporters could be tempted to join the former MP’s project Antonio Tasso. If he is the first to annex, the possibility of an agreement will be closed gathering led by Tasso which also includes the Pd-M5S pact. As we know, Tasso is much appreciated by Giuseppe Contebut not from the Manfredonian pentastellati or even from Michele Bordo with whom he clashed harshly in the past. How would Bordo and the entire Democratic Party with him justify an electoral campaign for him?
“There are three options on the field. The first is that of Gianluca Totaro on which, however, there are doubts from the Movement, in particular from the base and not from the coordinators, then there is Tasso who is seen well by Conte but not by the Democratic Party and then there is the professor Anna Rita Attanasio who would return to the field. A dog chasing its tail”, explains a five-star member who is now disillusioned with the table.
Meanwhile, the Emilian civic supporters are confident with 5 lists they proposed the candidacy of the social worker Domenico La Marca. On the one hand, the division of the centre-right and on the other the lack of radicalism of some choices of the centre-left could play in La Marca’s favour. In the Gulf, civic citizens are rooting for an annexation of the Pd and M5S to the Tasso option, because they consider it weaker than a new candidacy. Those who want change, according to them, can only vote for La Marca.
