Hitting the play-offs for promotion would have more than just moral value. And with a change of pace everything becomes possible.
A dream to chase, perhaps as an outsider, certainly without the underdogs, but the Nerazzurri team and club will not back down from the fight to reach the playoffs, which they missed last year by a whisker after losing on the last day against the relegated team Spal. Despite a year of ups and downs, everything is still open with five days to go. All things considered, there are (at least) five reasons why you shouldn’t give up on the playoffs.
1) Investments – Pisa has invested a lot in the sporting project. This season alone, between salaries and the transfer market, almost 25 million euros have been spent, of which 19 in salaries alone. A continuous rise, without giving up, on the part of the American ownership branded Alexander Knaster, whose natural administrators are the Corrado family. Now, however, the situation has changed, the cheering is back stronger than ever and the atmosphere is concentrated, but serene. The spark has been rekindled and it is now up to the team to keep it alive.
4) The results – The home performance has improved, the attack is among the best in the championship. Some structural, mental and playing defects remain, but now the team is alive and ready to compete with everyone. In two months the Nerazzurri world has turned upside down. After the big scare, with the Nerazzurri even coming within one or two points of the relegation zone, now the hot zone is behind us and we can only look forward.
5) One chance is all it takes – All it takes is one chance to compete in the playoffs. It matters little if those who arrive in seventh or eighth place in the championship historically have almost no chance of winning, compared to those who obtained better placings. In football you only need one chance. The team has the duty to try until the end, to overcome their limits, give substance to their dreams and, after all, since the ball is round, dreaming costs nothing.
