Public places, blanket checks

The control activities of the territory by the State Police in Cesena continue. In recent days, as the patrols have been doing for some time, numerous premises have been checked and people identified. On Tuesday evening, several checks were carried out at some shops and betting centers by the staff of the Cesena police station.

In total, nine premises were checked, including bars and betting centres, and 74 people were identified, of which 28 were found to have criminal records.

The areas affected, controlled by the Cesena State Police, were via Pistoia, via Romea, via Corfù, via Cervese, via del Mare and piazzale Berlinguer. Prevention and control of the territory is among the activities in which the State Police has invested most in recent years, being a tool aimed at preventing widespread forms of illegality and ensuring a high level of perceived safety among citizens. Claudio Mastromattei, Police Commissioner of the province of Forlì-Cesena, has been strongly committed since he took office in ensuring the constant presence of State Police personnel in the area, in order to monitor the various criminal and social phenomena, both with a view to prevention than of repression. These targeted checks are only the latest that, in chronological order, have been carried out in the Cesena area and which are added to the activity that is carried out daily by the staff on duty at the police station.
