Lamezia Terme – “Everyone is equal before the law, the police protects us!”. With this slogan and with the Mameli anthem sung with the right hand on the chest, the children of the nursery schools and the primary school of the ICS of Sant’Eufemia welcomed the State Police of the Lamezia Terme police station.
The deputy commissioner Rosamaria Torchia, head of the office of territorial control and public rescue, gave a lesson on legality to all the children who listened enthusiastically and interested to what was said, being able to observe firsthand what they had learned in class and in the section from the teachers. “Dr. Torchia, invited by the manager Antonella Cerra, came aboard a steering wheel that every child could see and touch up close and with two motor vehicles together with young colleagues who showed the sweet, human and caring face of the uniform – they say from the institute – The children wore helmets, vests and used shovels. They listened to the sirens and thanked their guests by giving them a book with free drawings on the golden work of the policeman, done by children, to be kept at the police station. Some of them were intimidated, but insistently asked all the officers to return with their motorcycles. As with the operators of the Red Cross and the Carabinieri of Biodiversity, this visit also helped our students to consciously orient themselves towards justice, shining away from unjust choices, taking autonomous and unconditional positions”.
