Culture in Forlì, the Metropolis decalogue for mayor Zattini

After the centre-left competitor Graziano Rinaldini, the Metropolis cultural association of Forlì visits the outgoing mayor, and candidate for an encore, Gian Luca Zattini. To give him “a programmatic document in 10 points” in which concessions are requested for innovative cultural producers of supra-municipal value; the free concession of properties for cultural production; to “make the most of” the historical memory and the prominent personalities who brought prestige to the city.

This time too “we met Zattini at the Caffè del Teatro, a true literary café, a symbolic place, in the historic centre, of conviviality and the exchange of ideas between intellectuals and artists of our city”, explains Marco Colonna of the Metropolis board. Among the other proposals, two projects dedicated to the figures of Dante Alighieri and Marco Palmezzano; the creation of a real “public-private Presidium of Beauty” as a permanent consultative body for the protection of fine arts; the convocation of the States General of cultural and artistic heritage.

A contribution “much appreciated” by Zattini: “We were able to explore together – comments the mayor – an idea of culture that embraces the entire city and acts as a driving force for the tourism sector, starting from the awareness that the cultural associations of our city they need opportunities, not directions.”
