The Collage in concert in Sulmona to support the orthopedics department

SULMONA (AQ) – Friday 19 April 2024at 9 pm, at the Municipal Theater of Sulmona (L’Aquila), there will be a concert by Collage, one of the best-known Italian pop music groups born at the end of the 70s. The appointment was presented this morning in the capital of Peligno during a press conference, which saw the participation of the Sardinian formation, composed of the leader Tore Fazzi (lead vocals and bass), Francesco Astara (drums), Fabio Nicosia (keyboards, piano and choirs) e Uccio Soro (guitars and choirs).

The concert, promoted by the Nomadi Fans Club Cultural Association “Un giorno Insieme” of Sulmona, with the patronage of the Municipality of Sulmona, will kick off the new edition of “Music and solidarity – A soundtrack for life” in support of this year of the orthopedics department of Sulmona Hospital. The seats are numbered with reservations required (for information on the evening you can contact 389 9737620 or write to [email protected]).

“After the success of the previous editions”, explained the president of the Nomadi Fans Club, Vincenzo Bisestile, “We have set ourselves a new objective for 2024, which is to purchase a latest generation machine to be allocated to the Orthopedics Department of the Sulmona hospital and to be made available to users in central Abruzzo. We chose Collage who immediately embraced this music and solidarity initiative.”

Collage will present to the public all their major hits, such as “Due Ragazzi Nel Sole”, “Tu mi rubi l’anima”, “Donna Musica”, “Sole rosso” and all the others, up to the most recent single “Rinasco”. “I am sure that this portable ultrasound machine will arrive at the Sulmona hospital,” said the founder of the group Tore Fazzi, “Music is also good for people’s health and well-being. I thank the Nomadi Fans Club association and Vincenzo Bisestile for involving us in this project. We will have a big party on April 19th. We will all sing together and have fun. Since our beginnings we have always come to play in Abruzzo. Every year we make at least five stops in this region and we are happy to return to Sulmona, where we played a few years ago.”

The Collages have favored the summer loves of several generations. With their music they gained notoriety and success in the Seventies and Eighties, establishing themselves with an original and engaging melodic pop. In 1976 they won the Castrocaro Festival with “DueRagazzi nel Sole”, while the following year they placed second at the Sanremo Festival with the song “Tu mi rubi l’anima”. A song, the one that came second at the Sanremo festival, which then climbed the popularity charts, alongside some of the big names in national and international music. Of the group’s historical lineup, the only one left is Tore Fazzi.

Between one tour and another the band took part in three other editions of the Sanremo festival (at the XXIX edition of 1979 with “La gente parla”, at the XXXI edition of 1981 with “IRagazzi che si amore” and at the XXXIV edition of 1984 with “How much I love you”) and launches in Spain and South America “Como dos niños”, “Poco a poco…”, “La gente habla” and “Sol caliente”, Spanish versions of some of the group’s greatest successes. In the 90s the record relaunch with the album “Replay” (1994) and the anthology “Settantaseiduemila” (2000). In 2003 the new atmospheres of “Abitudini e no” were born, a recording project of unreleased songs where Italian melodies are dressed in rock-blues and even funky sounds and rhythms. From the concert recorded in August 2008 in Muro Leccese (Lecce), a double live album was released in 2010, which collects the atmospheres of the latest performances and a new unreleased single: “Non ti dimenticherò”.

In 2020, in the midst of the pandemic, frontman Tore Fazzi released his first solo album, “Lughe noa”, containing unreleased tracks in the Sardinian language, as well as the most classic of Sardinian melodies, “No potho reposare”. In 2022 the group released the single “Accanto”, while last year “Rinasco” was released.
