Fight against drugs in Rimini: an important operation by the Local Police ended yesterday afternoon in Miramare led to the arrest of a person (class 81) for drug dealing and the seizure of over 180 grams of cocaine.
The operation had already begun a few days ago with various tailings and investigations, which had led the plainclothes men of the judicial police on the trail of a person, already known to the police, having been arrested last March. The man, unaware that he was under surveillance, was seen getting into a car, which the officers decided to follow, observing the various movements that the vehicle made in the Miramare area. At each stop the passenger got off and got back on shortly after. Hence the decision to intervene and stop the vehicle.
The vehicle check took place in via Losanna – led to the identification of both suspects and a search of the vehicle. A search that confirmed the officers’ suspicions as 182 grams of pure cocaine, still to be refined, were found hidden in the car. Narcotic substance, found in the form of a single block, seized.
During the check, the man, sitting on the passenger side, already known from a previous arrest, reacted to the officers and managed to escape, getting onto the subway and losing track of himself. The driver of the vehicle (43 years old) was arrested on charges of possession for the purpose of dealing. He is currently waiting to appear before the Judge of the Court of Rimini in the immediate trial.
Further investigations are underway to search for the person already known, who left during the check. During his escape, the man lost some personal items, which were seized, including his cell phone.
