“It was a magical moment, what a feeling with Toscano”

Fifteenth appointment with Aperi C, the program that talks about Serie C NOW every Wednesday at 7pm.

The hosts Sarah Castellana and Luigi Polce, respectively presenter of the program and social media manager of Lega Pro, welcomed Andrea Menon, Sky Sport commentator, and Nicolò Schira of Tutto C to the Aperi C sofa who commented on the day just passed Series C NOW and introduced the next one.

To enrich the episode, the connection with Simone Corazza, striker of Cesena newly promoted to Serie B who has collected 10 goals in 29 appearances in group B of Serie C NOW 2023/2024.

The striker of the Romagna club, who in his career managed to make the leap from Serie C to the cadet championship four times in his career, spoke about the result obtained this year: “It was a magical moment that we are fully enjoying. Every promotion achieved in your career has something special, but this one is different because none had ever come so soon.”

Then, on the enthusiasm that can be felt in Cesena: “There is a special relationship with the city. The bond became even closer after last year’s narrow promotion and following the flood that hit Cesena. Having an average of ten thousand spectators at home games is exciting: the public was the extra man this year. We are proud to have reached such a milestone.”

With coach Toscano, three promotions have been achieved with this year’s one: “There is a particular feeling with him. Now we understand each other without even speaking. I managed to express myself at my best under his management and I’m really satisfied with it.”

Behind the success in Serie C NOW there is the contribution of the many young talents present in the squad, who together with the more experienced have created a winning mix. Cesena’s number 18, one of the team’s senators, spoke about his role within the locker room: “I consider myself a silent leader, I don’t talk much. I always try to give my best, always pedaling with my head down. I hope that the younger ones notice this attitude and my attachment to the shirt.”

Lastly, following a question from Andrea Menon, Corazza indicated his favorite goal scored in a black and white shirt: “The goal I scored with a back heel in the last championship against Rimini, in a very heartfelt match, I think is one of the most beautiful things achieved in your career. It was my presentation in Cesena.”
