And it continues to rain in Via Bissolati

Unlivable conditions in the apartments at number 3

Legnano – Another six months have passed and the conditions of the apartments in via Bissolati 3 have become even more unlivable. Winter brought with it a load of humidity which further deteriorated the walls of the apartments on the top floors. What worries the tenants is the constant presence of mold which, despite attempts to eradicate it, continues to emerge, making the environment unhealthy. The water percolates from the infiltrations on the roof and flows down to the point of damaging the furnishings and wetting the electrical wires of the electrical panel and the chandelier.

Domestic accidents had already occurred in the past due to water raining from the roof which made the floors slippery. The situation is well known to the competent offices of Aler which, among other things, shares access to the offices with the buildings in via Bissolati. Precisely on the occasion of redevelopment works of the adjacent building where the Aler offices are located todaythe driveway gate has been removed and access to the condominium courtyard remains open day and night and has long been frequented by drug addicts who use the cars abandoned in the courtyard as a refuge, a fact already reported several times to the police.

It’s no better in the common areas where there is fear of the collapse of the plaster from the balconies and where the ceilings of the stairs are supported by scaffolding and props. The tenants are exasperated by a condition that seems incurable and which inevitably impacts both the physical and psychological aspects of the people who live in a degraded environment.

The debt condition of some condominiums also needs to be renovated, there is no point in denying it, but the economic issues cannot be a valid reason to justify the lack of maintenance and safety of the properties where people live, even before tenants. The hope of the citizens of via Bissolati is that Aler will intervene extremely urgently, before the arrival of the summer storms.
