The MEP of the League Angelo Ciocca has chosen Varese as a stop on his electoral tour ahead of the European elections on 8 and 9 June.

Ciocca’s electoral tour has as its objective the “European revolution” to which the title of his campaign refers. Specifically, yesterday the MP highlighted the challenge in Europe «to protect Made in Italy and put an end to the increase in mortgages, safeguarding the homes of Italians and entire sectors which, in the name of the crazy and green political ideologies, risk disappearing.”

Ciocca explained that often in Brussels “the future of Italians is decided without their knowledge, due to the lack of direct dialogue with individual countries”. For this reason, his electoral tour among the various regions of the North West to directly listen to administrators, associations and citizens and understand what their priorities are for the next Europe has the aim of outlining the results of a survey conducted on a sample of 400 people in the area who, in fact, saw a “clear rejection” by them for the current EU. «A Europe with crazy and ideological green policies, capable only of making citizens, workers and businesses broke».

“It is not right that the Italians, who account for a small percentage of environmental pollution, while giants like China and India continue to pollute, have to pay the costs”, he declared, recalling the importance of the vote of the 8th and June 9th.

Some data and context: the survey highlighted that only one citizen in six is in favor of the proposal to eat insects, while more than 50% of those interviewed have a negative view of the European directive on green homes and the obligation to renovate them. Furthermore, electric cars do not convince the majority of those interviewed, and 60% of those who have a home mortgage stated that the installment has doubled due to the increase in official interest rates.
