THE EXPECTATION RISES FOR THE TWELFTH EDITION OF THE GIRO D’ITALIA AMATORI

Anticipation is mounting for the twelfth edition of the Giro d’Italia Amatori, the stage race scheduled this year between the towns of Campli, Teramo, Civitella and Notaresco. A tour designed among the splendid panoramic views of Abruzzo which will host the pink event from 30 May to 2 June 2024 (registrations on the my.raceresult portal).

At the console of the event, once again, Fabio Zappacenere and Marina Campi who, for this twelfth edition, have signed a partnership with the Giro dei Borghi organized by Domenico Lignini (president of the Lu Callarò association) in collaboration with Andrea Di Giuseppe ( Team Go Fast), Natalia Tommasiello (Team Eventi Ciclismo), Daniele Capone (Team Go Fast Event) and Raffaele Di Giovanni (Acsi Teramo). And precisely the synergy with the Giro dei Borghi will guarantee the event a touch of “internationality” given that numerous cyclists from the small continental states will also participate in the Abruzzo event.

The cycling race, which takes place under the aegis of Acsi thanks to the desire of president Emiliano Borgna, will be divided into four stages. We start on Thursday 30 May with the individual time trial over the distance of 10 kilometers from Campli to Civitella del Tronto. The following day, in Campli, the first stage called 3rd Memorial Diego Barbieri. Second stage on June 1st with departure and arrival in Notaresco, closing on Sunday 2nd June in Nepezzano (Teramo) with the prestigious Villa Marini Grand Prix.

In fact on Sunday 2 June , Andrea Di Giuseppe, president of Team Go Fast, a company also very active in promoting youth cycling, will organize a race reserved for youth categories which will be held at Villa Marini. Furthermore, every evening the organizing committee of the event will organize some initiatives to entertain cyclists and the inhabitants of the localities involved, in particular the municipality of Campli, in fact, the competitive aspect is not a priority. Those who have already participated in the Giro d’Italia Amatori know very well that, in first place, there is the fun and the pleasure of being together”.


