REGGIO EMILIALuca Caccialupi he died at just 36 years old, overcome by a tumor against which he fought for two years. He was a true competitor, a never-tame sportsman, an appreciated basketball player minors Reggio Emilia (La Torre and Cavriago). Then he dedicated himself to climbing, although living in the city he had family roots in Collagna. Caccialupi worked as a production manager at Nannini, an eyewear company based in via Kennedy, together with many friends and former teammates. A young company, made up of strong bonds, where the news of Luca’s illness first and then of Luca’s worsening health conditions united everyone in immense pain. How immense is the family’s pain. Luca leaves behind his partner Francesca, his parents Luigi and Claudia, his sisters Chiara (with Michele) and Gloria (with Lorenzo) and his nephew Matteo.

This afternoon, Wednesday 17 April, the funeral. At 4.30 pm a short farewell ceremony at the Madonna dell’Uliveto, in Montericco di Albinea, where Caccialupi had been hospitalized for about forty days. Then the last journey to the Coviolo cemetery for cremation.

We offer you an image of Luca linked to a certainly fun, light-hearted moment. In November 2016, together with Davide Degl’Incerti Tocci, president of Nannini, he participated in the public recording of an episode of Alessandro Cattelan’s show in Milan, who had requested the characteristic vintage goggles for motorbikes or historic cars of the Reggio Emilia company for a sketch with the actress Matilda De Angelis, who was busy at the time promoting the film “Veloce come il vento”.
