SCANDIANO (Reggio Emilia) – The Carabinieri of Scandiano, together with the dog unit of Bologna, carried out some preventive checks in high schools, in agreement with the school management of the institutes concerned. The checks had the objective, on the one hand, of combating any illicit conduct linked to the use of drugs, and secondly of making the students aware of the duties of the police, the activities carried out and in particular raising their awareness of the importance of the checks.

Checks carried out to introduce students to the importance of having a proactive vision in their own interest. With the help of the dog units, the main bus stops near the institutes were “sniffed out”, then the surrounding areas of the school complexes involved in the activities and then the interiors of the schools. The classrooms were searched one by one, the gym, bathrooms and other common areas were also checked, fortunately no substances were found. Similar operations will continue in the coming weeks in other institutions in the city and the province to create a common front between the police and students against drug use.
