THEY LOSE CONTROL OF THE MOTORCYCLE: TRAGEDIES IN VERONA
VERONA – The bouquets of flowers indicate the tragedies that marked Tuesday evening in Verona.
Four hours later, two motorcyclists lost their lives after hitting the asphalt disastrously.
The first accident occurred at 7.30pm on the Oriani ring road, about a hundred meters from the intersection with Via Città di Nimes and a few steps from the point where another young centaur lost his life seven months ago. The one who lost his life this time was a 23-year-old who, after losing control of the vehicle, for reasons yet to be ascertained, hit the pavement, impacting one of the plane trees that line the avenue.
The second tragedy occurred at 11.45pm in via Pancaldo. Also in this case the motorcyclist, a 46-year-old, lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the guardrail. Attempts at resuscitation were useless, his heart stopped beating on impact.
According to initial findings carried out by the local police, no other vehicles were involved in both accidents.
Meanwhile, the number of deaths on the roads of the Verona capital has risen to five since the beginning of the year.
