LIVORNO Parco Lenci and Puini Ceron (Antignano-Banditella) will become inclusive and will be renovated.

There are 19 companies that have expressed interest in these two new creations.

INVESTMENTS OF 200 THOUSAND EUROS

The first phase of the negotiated procedure for the awarding of works for the construction of two new inclusive playgrounds, the Lenci Park and the Puini Ceron Park, in Antignano-Banditella, for which the municipal administration has concluded in recent days. allocated 200 thousand euros.
At the expression of interest, published on https://start.toscana.it/tendering/tenders/012418-2024/view/detail/1 together with the executive project drawn up by the Design and Qualification office of public spaces of the Municipality of Livorno, they 19 qualified companies in the sector joined. An initial verification of the requirements will follow and then proceed with the tender procedure until the award is made.

MARIO BARTOLI, KYRA, INCLUSIVE GAMES AND THE STATUE

Furthermore, with the declaration signed on March 21st, Mario Bartoli’s desire to donate to the Municipality of Livorno the proceeds of a fundraiser he started in 2023, which found wide participation with contributions also coming from outside the borders, came to fruition. of our city. Bartoli, dedicated for years to solidarity projects after the sudden death in 1998 of his 17-year-old son Christian, with the sum raised of 50 thousand euros will contribute to the creation of the park, both for the purchase and installation of further inclusive games and for the placement of a bronze statue of Kyra, his faithful canine companion, used for years in pet therapy and much loved by children. The statue will be placed near the play area so that Kyra is remembered and she can continue to give joy and love. The Administration has initiated the procedures required by law to collect the sum of money and to be able to effectively allocate it to the purchase of other inclusive games, in addition to those already included in the project.

THE PROJECT

The Lenci park and the Puini Ceron park (Banditella park) constitute a green area delimited to the west by Viale di Antignano and to the east by the land of the Acquaria pizzeria. The whole area is crossed by Via Puini, which clearly divides the Lenci park from the Puini Ceron park.
The two parks are organized with pedestrian paths, paved areas and recently installed wooden play equipment, including a cableway and a game with two turrets.

The project involves an overall redevelopment of the existing and the creation of new equipped areas, an “inclusive park” open to the use of multiple users, even for different age groups. The creation of new elements will determine an overall compositional and architectural review of the entire park.

FROM SENSORY AREAS TO NEW GAMES

In the part facing Viale di Antignano, the division into areas differentiated based on use includes:
a sensorial and relaxation area, paved with natural elements such as wood, gravel, wood chips, sand;
a rest area equipped with wooden tables and seats;
a children’s play area where it is planned to integrate the existing structure and swings with other inclusive equipment (complex game with access ramps, inclusive walker, cordless telephone and bell with braille writing), connecting this play area with the where the cableway has already been positioned. No interventions are planned around the cableway other than the simple delimitation with trees and tree species. In the eastern part (Puini Ceron) the creation of an inclusive basketball court (baskin) with concrete paving, the restoration of the existing porphyry paved area with the installation of ping pong tables and benches with chessboard, the creation of a play area for teenagers with installation of hill slide, periscope and balancing game on poles.
Also in this area, as part of another project aimed at mitigating the effects of climate change (Experimental program of interventions for adaptation to climate change in urban areas), the creation of other inclusive games and the implementation of home to 130 trees.

The connecting path between Viale di Antignano and Via Puini will be renovated, with the widening of the driveway and the creation of seating using concrete and brick steps.
