“Concrete instead of cobblestones in via San Pellegrino and in the historic center, the administration should preserve our beauty…”

The voice of Mrs. Maria and Mr. Mario – Viterbo – Report by Gianfranco Ceccarelli

Viterbo - Concrete pours instead of cobblestones in via San Pellegrino

Viterbo – We receive and publish – Our beloved streets of the historic center are losing their charm due to maintenance interventions that seem more like a “trick” than a real solution. Every day, walking through the streets of the city, you come across new patches of asphalt that clash with the elegance of the cobblestones. An example is what we can see in via San Pellegrino.

We ask ourselves: why don’t we invest in restoring the original cobblestones? Why opt for a quick fix that only further defaces our heritage?

Viterbo deserves more. Cobblestones are not just stones, they are part of our identity, silent witnesses of the history that we walk on every day. It is time to ask this municipal administration that the beauty and integrity of our historic center be preserved with adequate interventions that respect its historical and cultural value.
