The amateur football of Alta Padovana mourns the passing of Gianluca Regazzo, which occurred this morning due to an incurable disease. Born in 1984, Regazzo has left an indelible mark on the football scene as a central midfielder and historic captain of Campodarsego And Borgoricco.
With seven years spent in Campodarsego, a two-year period at Graticolato and another seven seasons in Borgoricco, Regazzo was one of the absolute protagonists of the double climb from First Category to Excellence. His career was marked by constant commitment, both on and off the pitch, with extraordinary footballing and human values. Although he hung up his boots a few years ago, he continued to dedicate himself with heart and soul to his beloved family.
He leaves behind his wife Giulia and two children, but above all he leaves an irreplaceable void and a series of indelible memories in all the people who had the privilege of sharing his journey.
I remember Campodarsego with a post on its social channels:
“The entire Campodarsego mourns the untimely death of Gianluca Regazzo. Passed away at the age of 39, Regazzo was one of those indelible flags first of Alta Padovana and then of Campodarsego. Regazzo experienced seven years of success and infinite love in the red and white club. “He embodied the spirit of Campodarsego”, the words of president Daniele Pagin. “He’s always been a fighter. We will carry him forever in our hearts. We are shocked and a hug now goes to his entire family.”
