She has disappeared since yesterday, when she told her family: “I’m going to the seaside…”.

She is Milena Santirocco, 54 years old, fitness and dance teacher, very active and dynamic type.

The searches are underway in Turin di Sangro (Ch), coordinated by the Lanciano police station, with the manager Miriam D’Anastasio and the deputy commissioner Antonio Ucci. Also in support are the agents of the Vasto police station, led by manager Lucia D’Agostino.

“We are waiting to know what happened – says sister Sonia -. We are very worried”.

The lady went out after lunch and no trace of her was lost. This morning the children, having no longer heard from their mother, filed a complaint. Her car, a Clio, was found on the seafront in Torino di Sangro, near the “Via Verde” cycle path, on the Costa dei Trabocchi.

The coastline, sea and reed thickets, and the wooded areas were explored, including the “Lecceta” reserve, almost up to the English cemetery. On site, in addition to the police, the firefighters of Lanciano (Ch) and teams of volunteers from the Civil Protection of Atessa and Torino di Sangro. The Ortona Coast Guard was also involved, with boats and a helicopter. The dog units were unleashed with two dogs which were made to sniff the clothes of the woman, who apparently was wearing a red jacket. Video surveillance cameras from the area around the car park where her car was found were acquired. 29 Apr. 2024
