Modica, Caffè Quasimodo: “L’en plein air” by Guido Cicero

“L’en plein air” by Guido Cicero at the Quasimodo Literary Café. Last Saturday the well-known painter from Modica painted in front of the public, leaving his usual studio to demonstrate the great professional openness that distinguishes him, unaware of the risks he could take. At the Palace of Culture, it was a very suggestive evening dedicated to the painter, Guido Cicero, to Action Painting, or the artist in action between painting and music, during which the interested party created two works on canvas in the presence of those present who had the opportunity to see him in action and to witness live the harmonious, chromatic and dynamic handling of colors which captures the construction of figures that make the soul vibrate.
And while Guido Cicero expressed himself with his tools, the writer Giuseppe Macauda spoke with the art critics Licia Oddo and Jorge Facio Lince, with Domenico Pisana, interspersing everything with the musical interventions of the guitarist Lino Gatto, and the verses recited by the actors Daniele Cannata and Annamaria Cerruto.

Giuseppe Modica, member of Caffè Quasimodo, gave Cicero a gift of one of his poems in dialect, inspired by a painting by the latter.

The dialogue that the artist held with the audience present who asked him questions, even curious ones, was also interesting and appreciated.
