Descriptive text here

Tommy Caldwell he is not only the protagonist of the documentary film “The Dawn Wall” presented this evening, Tuesday 16 April, at Monviso. But he will be the protagonist of the opening of the Cuneo Mountain Festival 2024 which will be held in Cuneo from 14 to 19 May. This was just announced by the mountain metro councilor of the Municipality of Cuneo, Sara Tomatis.
Caldwell, an American, who is considered the greatest climber in history will talk about himself in an evening at the San Rocco Castagnaretta Sports Hall on Tuesday 14 May. He will tell his impossible feats in rock climbing. Caldwell, 45, achieved his first major feat in Yosemite by being the first to free climb the route in one day Salathe on El Capitan; two years later, between 2004 and 2005, he achieved another series of feats: in May 2004 he freed the route Dihedrall Wall grading it 8b+ (which therefore stands as the most difficult big wall in Yosemite climbed up until then, equaled four years later by the route Magic Mushroom Free ascent again from Caldwell together with Justen Sjong and in October 2005 he made the third and fourth free ascent of the route The Nose climbing it twice within two days with Beth Rodden and again a few days later climbing two routes of El Capitan for the first time (The Nose And Freerider) free and on the same day In 2012 he once again showed great talent in speed climbs, linking Mount Watkins, El Capitan (free and in one day) with Alex Honnold (Freerider) and the Half Dome. But the great feat that he achieved together with Kevin Jorgeson on the 14 January 2015 Dawn Wall (El Capitan), climbing the route (graded 5.14d/9a) in complete free climbing after 19 consecutive days of climbing, a route which is therefore considered the most difficult free climbing on big walls in the world.

The Cuneo Montagna Festival will be from 14 to 19 May in Cuneo and in the year of Cuneo proclaimed “Alpine City of the Year” I will have the title “AnimaAlpina”.
